Uterosacral/Sacrospinous Colpopexy
Uterosacral Colpopexy:
Sutures secure the upper vagina to the uterosacral ligaments that run from the sacrum to the upper vagina along the side wall of the pelvis as shown above.
Sacrospinous Colpopexy:
the upper vagina or cervix is attached to the right sacrospinous ligament with slowly absorbed sutures. The sacrospinous ligament runs from the ischial spine to the side of the sacrum as shown above. The upper vagina is secured to the sacrum using a mesh graft as shown.
